Q.

my 2.6 yr old girl is shivering and having fever 100.8 ?? At this time what should I do . I have given her paracetamol syrup.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hosurs if fecver is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

So It is the medicine is working then that’s good if the fever you feel is increasing or not reducing then you can start doing cold sponging as well that will help in reducing down the fever so along with forehead if you can do it behind the knees of your child will definitely get better results with that
