Q.
My 17 months old baby was not catching with cold up to 1 year. He has taken FLU and Nemonia vaccines also.. But now a days she is catching with cold very frequently almost two times every month. I am worried to give her medicines. I am feeding her vegetable and dairy foods. What is the reason behind it.?Please suggest. I am very tensed.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. regular cough and cold in children are most commonly associated with allergy which might be due to weather changes on temperature variations.
many times simple cough and cold is followed by secondary infections.
it is very common that children will have a recurrent cough and cold as well as fever bexfore 5 years of age and after that a proper immunity is developed and then this problem wxill go away.
get the child vaccinated for flu vaccine which will again help in decreasing this problem

It Could probably be due to allergy because of the cold and cough is frequent and specially cold like running nose sneezing all the time then it is definitely some kind of an allergy that your child may be suffering from so instead of going for any other treatment try consulting a Doctor Who specialises in the area of allergy
