Q.
my 16 months old is having cold from one week he had stuffy nose I used syrup recommended by ped.. but how can I clean that stuffy nose

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.hh As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Use Nasal drops into the nose of your child that will help in opening up the block it and it would be easier that way so I think you should put it about 5 to 7 times in a day as and when required after that the child will get rid of the stuffy nose also and also you can give indirect steam twice a day
