Q.

milk is producing in my breast as I am taking lactrate tables twice in a day ,my clothes are becoming wet with breast milk .but my son even though he is capable to take milk he falling in to sleep after sucking little breast ,wat might be the reason.if I give formula he will take 90-120 ml.but he is not sucking full breast milk at time.

A. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. see videos on you tube forx breastfeeding position and attachment. take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself. take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.

A. let your baby latch even for a minute, 5 minutes or 10 minutes in day time but let baby latch.take your baby as often as breastfeeding.Reduce formula feeding sessions.dont give formula in bottle, feed with spoon and bowl if you use bottle baby will have trouble latching breast. use formula only at night or only in need.
