medicine for 9.5 months old baby boy weight 8.8 kg having cough and cold.

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs tto be treated with anti allergic and exfpectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. Well you should be giving any medicine to the child without consulting the doctor I would recommend you to talk to your doctor ones regarding that and whatever medicine has been suggested by the doctor is going to be the right for the child
