Q.

Maam,I am a postgraduate on maternity leave now.I m going to join duty in 10 days. If I express breast milk for my baby all the time , can I maintain lactation without direct breastfeeding??

A. Yes u can maintain reasonable. By the time when u r home u can feed directly. Also to avoid nipple confusion, you may try using Medela calma bottle and teats. It worked for my kids. This bottle works similar to Breastfeeding. The milk won't come unless the baby sucks. It will give the same feel as feeding from the mother. You may give it a try.
