Q.
last 2 weeks before my daughter had a cold and cough.Today she is suffering from fever nose block and weakness.she breathing from her mouth,coughing alot ,maximol syrup for fever given, still body temperature didn't get low.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more isx considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higher medicinesx (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
