Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicinges like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the sgymptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

Nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus Try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small childrenc For fever and pain give paracetamol Continue the regular diet which is being given to the child
