Is it okay to rub honey on my baby’s gums? He just turned 6 months.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. not okay honey can be given only after completion of one year of the child. occasionally, honey contains bacteria that can produce toxins in a baby's intestines, leading to infant botulism, which is a very serious illness. after 1 year there is no problem in giving it to the child

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 2 m old girl2 years agoA. Not before the age of 12 months Rohne can create infection in to the stomach of the child which is why it is not recommended to be used before the age of 12 months so right now you just have to go ahead with your child reaching the right age
