A. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can go for a single dosage after two years ofh age. your doctor is the best person to tell you whether it is required by your child or not. my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available

A. No it’s not a mandatory vaccination it’s an optional one she is totally and personally your choice whether you would want to go ahead with it or not as the doctors in the private hospital do advise you to get the option vaccinations done as well but since it is not a compulsion it’s totally your choice
