Is abdomen ultrasound safe for my 3 year old daughter ??

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. yes ultrasound can be done in babies if it is really indicative, no harm in that. just avoid repeated scans. and have second opinion before scan for the problems for which scan is suggested

Children's (pediatric) ultrasound imaging of the abdomen uses sound waves to produce images of the inside of the body. It does not use radiation and has no known harmful effects. It is very useful for evaluating the causes of abdominal, pelvic or scrotal pain in children.
