Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. yes flu vaccine also known as influenza vaccine is very important for decreasing the chances of viral infection by at least c60% in your child. the first dosage is given at the end of 6 months and the second dosage at the end of 7 months and then every year till completion of 5 years of age. previously it was an ocptional vaccine but now it is considered as an important vaccine for children.
