I was 39 weeks and 5days i had menstruatal kind discharge n light lower back pain in the evening so I went to the gynaecologist she checked me FHS was 138 n said I am progressing as my cervix was open 1cm. I was told to get hospitalised. The next day i din experience any pain everything was normal like daily routine.She started to induce me with cerviprime gel and did it twice with a time gap .I was given also pitocin drip later in evening i started getting stronger contractions. I was checked continuously with the fetal heart monitor FSH later the heart rate of my baby dropped and i was told that my baby pooped in the womb.I was told to take a decision for a C section. I want to know whether there was a need to get hospitalised the same day n c section would be avoided.Had i to wait till I would really get strong contractions.I feel I am cheated and i would possibly have a normal delivery.
