Q.

I have been giving asthalin and arocet to my 3 month old for cold n cough from past 6 days is it harmful will it have any side-effects

A. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussittves medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is fthere paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

A. If you are giving it to the child without Dr is concerned and yes it is not a very good idea your child is too small you should never give any of these medicines without asking the doctor so if you want you can we consult a doctor ones for this.Write Your Answer Here
