Q.

I had started iron syrup ..it can cause loose motion ..my baby is also suffering from little bit cold..Should Iron cause loose motion?

A. yes there is a possibility that it can cause either loose motion or constipation. you can stop for 3 days and then if the child improves then you will know that it might be due to the iron drops and also you can give a trial again after one week to confirm whether the child is allergic to iron supplements or not

A. No Isha iron supplement can cause constipation not lose motions so there could be another reason behind loose motions that your child is having you need to check with your doctor on this as a clarity can only be provided via paediatric on this
