Q.

I had my first dose of covidshield vaccine during 7th month pregnancy. Will there be any side effects now to my baby as the 2nd dose was not done?

A. corona vaccine can be given to both pregnant women and breastfeeding mother. as per the recommendations mother can take any brand of vaccine which is available in the market for corona infection. also can continue breastfeeding if going on. also mother can go for breastfeeding immediately after vaccination and if fever and pain occurs mother can take paracetamol. the vaccine is totally safe so no worries for both of u

A. Vaccines are absolutely safe while breastfeeding, Vaccine effectiveness is expected to be similar in lactating women as in other adults. WHO recommends the use of the COVID-19 vaccine c in lactating women as in other adults. WHO does not recommend discontinuing breastfeeding after vaccination.
