i had cervical encerclage at 14 weeks when my cervical length was 2 cm.now i am 22 weeks now also my cervical length is 2 cm. is this a good sign that my cervical encerclage is sucessful and can i prolong my labour till 34 weeks.pls help me becoz i have had a previous abortion .any gynecologist pls pks pls help me

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. Cervical cerclage helps prevent preterm labor or miscarriage with a single stitch placed around the cervix. These may include: Infection.Bleeding.Premature contractions.Rupture of membranes (water breaking)Miscarriage or preterm delivery if the stitch fails.
