Q.

I had cervical cerclage at my 6th month of pregnancy. Now I am 36 weeks pregnant, dr said cervix is getting soft but my baby is in breech position so she can’t deliver it normally. But she told me to wait till naturally labor pain starts then. I want to know is it safe to wait , or my cervix will open even after stitches are there ?

A. Dear I also had cervical stitches in my 6 months...as I was having history of preterm delivery ...I was also worried....my gynec called me for cervical removal after 36 week completion and said she will wait for normal delivery for 24 hrs otherwise she will do csec....but I got my water break on 35 weeks 4 day....and immediate csec was done...just trust ur dr...they will do everything which is good for u and baby

A. please follow the advice of the treating doctor. if there is no relief it is advisable to see the doctor for proper examination if there is need for proper investigations also both for diagnosis and treatment
