Q.

I give formula milk and breast milk to my 40 days old on the basis of 1:1 from the day 1., how to I know breast milk is sufficient for baby. suddenly stop the formula milk and checking the urine count or how did I check. if I suddenly stop the formula milk it will any problem arises to my baby.

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

A. hello you can check on ba y urine count or you can also express the milk using Babyhug breastpump and check or any concern then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same
