Q.

I give a very little piece of beetroot with apple and carrot puree to my 9 month old and since I am giving beetroot I have noticed that my little one's poop after consuming puree is reddish in color. Is this normal or should I concern about the same? Please clear my doubt.

A. Beets contain certain pigments that give them their vibrant and dark purple-red color. These pigments are not absorbed from body, and this is why you can see them in stools. This phenomenon is completely normal and does not cause any health problems.

A. Hello dear parent! Absolutely normal as long as your baby is active and normal. Give your baby 3 meals and water along with daily breastfeeding. Gradually include all food groups in your child’s diet that is healthy and staple in your family. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil
