Q.

I delivered a male baby vaginally 6 weeks ago. I'm breastfeeding my baby day and night. There was bleeding/spotting for 3-4 weeks post delivery and it stopped. Now after 6 weeks I'm again observing light bleeding, but not so much that I need a pad. Is this normal? Also, is an obgyn consultation recommended post 6 weeks?

A. Hello dear parent! Irregularities in periods is very common after delivery. It is advisable to consult your doctor for further advice. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all through the day while breastfeeding your baby. Good luck and take care.
