A. No other alternative is good for baby. It should be either Breastmilk or formula. Have lot of skin to skin sessions with your baby. This is called kangaroo therapy. It improves Breastmilk, improves baby weight and encourages Breastfeeding. While feeding formula take care of the following. For preparing formula, You should follow the number of scoops of formula and appropriate quantity of water which is specified on the tin. The right consistency should be given so that it doesn't cause any digestive issues. Please follow the mixing instructions as per tin. Also u should only use the same scoop given along with the tin. Level the scoop before adding. If the consistency is not right or there is a overfeed (more than what the baby needs) then the baby may vomit, so take care of those details. You should not heat the formula milk. Also u should give the formula milk within one hour of preparation. Once the baby starts to feed any left over milk should be thrown away.
