Q.

I am suffering with chickenpox(confirmed yesterday)..my baby is direct contact with me from past 3 days... and iam feeding her...we didnt give varicella(chickenpox)vaccine till now..bcoz she is 14 months old..Due date for that vaccine is 15 months.i.e next month...now I am worried my baby may get chicken pox..can we give vaccine before 1 month...After vaccination is any chance my baby get chickenpox ...please help me..any one face same situation

A. you can start giving chicken pox vaccine to the baby when baby is one year of age along with hepatitis A vaccine but still baby is in already contact with you that can be chance of infection you can take the vaccine now also
