Q.

I am a mom of 1 month old. I can pump only 20 ml from a breast in 10 mins when I feed him I can see him sucking and swallowing. he has a poor latch. he has a normal weight gain. do I have low supply. or I have sufficient milk for him.

A. Usually kids have about 30 ML in this age so I think it is little less that’s why your child is constantly sucking on the fingers though it is normal for a child but if your child is constantly doing it then it would be good for you to consult a lactation specialist once

Q. suggest a good electric breast pump for short nipples and which gives good stimulation. I have used babyhug manual pump which I guess is not giving stimulation hence less milk(20 ml after 30 mins of pumping).My baby is 31 days old. Does electric pump increase the milk production too as I don't want to give her so much of top feed.
