How much water is to be given to a breastfed 6 month old? #asktheexpert

A. As baby is just six months and initially not much requirement of water so start with few sips of water a couple of times in a day and keep feeding the baby as well

A. if they are having any solid food then 1tsp of water is enough for them.

A. after 6 month start giving water to baby .. firstly in small amount.. boil water properly and thn give baby by spoon.. water intake <6 months - 60 ml <7 months 75 ml

A. hi dear If your baby is under 6 months old, they only need to drink breastmilk or infant formula. From 6 months of age, you can give your baby small amounts of water, if needed, in addition to their breastmilk or formula feeds.
