How do we take off thumb sucking habit from a 3 year old kid

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just tdry to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities alsto spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. See It’s something very difficult to do so you can just keep telling your child not to do it you can keep taking the hand out of the mouth every now and then that’s what you can do apart from that I do not see any other way even if you apply something your child will wash it and your child is again going to do the same so I think just constant counselling is only going to help
