Q.
hiii sir , my kid having 4 y old .From yesterday to now. he is having cough and cold .cold is mild .so which medicine we use for him.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.jj
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Safest to give indirect steam inhalation for nasal block and also protect baby with wollens clothes . Can put nasivion / saline drops . Take flu vaccine yearly for protection from flu after six mnths of age . Nebulization can be done by doctor advise . See a doctor if fever or discomfort .
