A. I had a normal delivery a month ago. my baby had mild jaundice after birth and I had swollen stitches. Not knowing the actual cause was adding top feed (formula milk) in the plan due to continue feed to get rid of jaundice or me in pain and accepted the offer of a bottle feed. I feel bad of thinking that my laziness or selfishness was the cause of my milk production going down. And in few weeks I lost almost whole quantity of milk. Currently milk production is not enough for a single feed in whole day. Though I continually feed my baby with breast milk first each time before offering a bottle. As I had no change in diet after delivery. I am not sure where to work to get the quantity of milk back. Its devastating to know that I am not sufficient for my baby. And that I may be the reason how my baby got addicted to bottle (bottle with a spoon attached not the nipple one). Please help me out 🙏

A. For a new born the feed must be every 2 hours irrespective of the weather. In case of summer and excess sweating you will have to feed on demand as well. So we cant really say go with one set of timing or plan as a mother you will know your child well and when it needs feed sometimes you have to go with your instinct.Just make sure the gap between feeds doesnt go beyond 2 hours.
