Q.

hii mam.. I'm 21 week pregnant.. last week I had my anatomy scan.. doctor told me that my placenta has covered completely internal os.. is it normal during 20 week pregnancy..or is there any complication..will placenta go back to it's normal position?

A. no. its high risk. In such cases you can talk to a doctor and get some blood tests done to reach to a conclusionyou have to do a few more tests and a scan after a local doctor advice for proper treatment

A. A low-lying placenta after 20 weeks of pregnancy can be very serious as there is a risk of severe bleeding and this may threaten the health and life of the mother and baby. If the placenta covers the entrance to the womb (cervix) entirely after 20 weeks, this is known as major placenta praevia
