My kid is very naughty and he is not listening our words most of the time.if we says don't do that ,he enjoys and do that volunteerly.My family is asking me to slap him whenever he does mischief but I am not happy to beat him ,I used to say him politely,don't do that , sometimes he listens that but 50% he is not listening at that time ,I tried to divert him or I moves out of that place.Is this correct,do I have to beat him when he is not listen our words ?My entire family is against to me since I am not beating or scolding him.kindly suggest which is correct parenting

Give one command at a time. ... Give age-appropriate commands. ... Give brief rationales. ... Be physically present. ... Ask the child to repeat the command.
