Q.

Hi sir/madam, my baby is 1.5 month old and weighs 5.5kg. Birth wt is 3.5kg. Dr suggested to reduce wt gain to .75 kg at the end of 2.5 months. Is this normal or to be concerned? will wt affect babies in attaining growth milestones?

A. No It’s not needed it’s a natural way that your child is gaining with breastfeeding how can you reduce down this weight you know you’ll have to keep feeding your child properly in a proper manner so continue with the same the weight will reduce on after the age of 6 to 8 months once your child learns to walk and crawl so as of now the wait seems fine to me
