Hi Sir/Madam, My 4 months baby boy is getting cough and cold from a week. Can I use Azithromycin syrup for him????

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.jg steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi no without consulting your pediatrician,you can not give any kind of Medicine by own. instead of it ,I would suggest to visit your pediatrician for once. at home , apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on your child chest and back which will give instant relief in cold and cough. offer plenty of breastfeeds to your child. give early morning sunbath for 20 minutes a day but avoid cold and windy climate.
