hi sir baby 6 month old now having cold, how to give indirect steam inhalation, and pls tell me is it ok to do bath to baby when having cold thank u

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. yes you should know what is indirect steam inhalation. common cold or seasonal flu is viral in origin. Know some remedies to relieve baby.
For nasal blockage give naso clear saline drops which should be put in nose 2 drops each.
Can give otrivin pediatric nasal drops 2- 3 drops each nose.
Can give indirect steam inhalation in which steam is just in surrounding of baby. It can help to remove mucus by coughing process.
Apply vicks vaporub over back and chest of baby
In case baby has abnormal breathing sounds so soon see a doctor as it needs auscultation and

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and please put a steamer near by the baby and lso you can use vicks vapor in water. also apy luke warm mustard oil on baby chest. also avoid to give baby bath. or give on alternative day.
