Q.
Hi. My son was given 2.5 month vaccination before 9 days. There is still a swelling at the injected area ( left thigh). we gave ice pack massage for first 3 days. The swelling is still there. Note: He doesn't exhibit any discomfort when I press the bulge. What can be done to reduce the swollen area ?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician4 years agoA. hi your baby is 2.5 months old now post vaccination swelling at site of injection is common and if there is no discomfort or tenderness on touching do not worry it shall resolve on its own
