Q.

Hi. My son sleeps off every time I’m feeding because of which sometime he doesn’t burp. How can I keep him awake? Music or rubbing his ears nothing helps. Suggest something

A. Hi! First of all, let me say that you're not alone - many new parents have experienced the same thing with their little ones. It can be frustrating when you're trying to feed your baby and they just keep dozing off! One technique you could try is a diaper change in the middle of the feeding. This can help to wake your baby up a bit and encourage them to finish their meal. You could also consider gently tickling their feet or blowing on their face to keep them alert. Another thing to keep in mind is that it's not always necessary for your baby to burp after every feeding. If your little one seems content and happy, they may not need to burp at all. However, if you're concerned that gas might be causing discomfort for your baby, you could try different positions for burping - such as holding them facing away from you with their chin supported by your hand. Remember, every baby is different and what works for one might not work for another. The most important thing is to remain patient and keep trying different techniques until you find what works best for you and your little one. And if you ever feel overwhelmed or need extra support, don't hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician or other parenting resources in your community. You're doing great!

A. Hello dear parent! Continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby well on demand. Nothing to worry about burping at night as long as your baby is healthy and showing no symptoms of discomfort. Keep Babyhug tummy roll on handy
