#AskTheExpert my daughter is 7 weeks old and she sleeps while breastfeeding. when I try burping her she'll burp if she's awake but no matter how long I try to burp her she'll not burp while she's asleep. Is it normal or should I awake her every time to make her burp?

Sunita MahatoMom of 2 children4 years agoA. after feeding the baby you should keep the baby in upright position and gently rub the baby back for some time..
don't put baby immediately on bed after feed..
even the baby is not burping after feed keep in upright position and rub the back for some time..
