Hi my kid is 3 yr 5 months old and v have started his schooling ...he gets cold often n it takes long time to cure ..I used to bath him 2 times a day in warn water...does that makes him get cold often...

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and yi according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given fto reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
