hi my kid is 1yr.6m old his right cheeks is swollen and he is having cold it an serious prblm??

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. mumps is a type of viral infection. it is due to infection in the parotid gland which is type of salivary gland. it is a self limiting illness and the child wills improve in 4 to 7 days. it can involve one side or both sides of the jaw where parotid gland is present. symptomatic treatment is given in the form of paracetamol and warm compress can be done zto decrease the swelling. please remain in contact with your doctor for treatment. it can be prevented by giving mmr vaccination.

Keep an ice cube on that area and do get a check with your doctor sometimes these things could be associated with the internal area like maybe the mouth of the child or something so once you get it checked with your doctor you’ll rather have a better clarity and accordingly they can help you with what you need to do further
