Hi, My Daughter is 1year 5months old can I give gripe water daily . because she can't poop freely with out taking gripe water

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. it is not advisable to give gripe water to the child on the regular basis because at the end it is a type of medicine which will help in decreasing the colic pain but yes it has got side effects so do not not give this without medical consultation.
it contains sodium bicarbonate as well as plenty of sugars which has got side effects for such a small child

Ope Not at all gripe water is completely restricted to be given to a child you should not be giving it not even one time in a day if your child is having digestion issues or anything you please consult your paediatrician for a better medication but gripe water is a complete no-no
