Hi my child got sudden fever last night,no other symptoms. He is 6 yrs old ,sd I go for a RTPCR test

A. yes u should get that done.Omicron variant is likely to be more infective and spread easily. Its symptoms are cough fatigue runny nose congestion. Children show predominantly upper respiratory tract infection likr fever, runny nose, throat pain, body ache , dry cough. It is recommended to wear a mask regardless of the vaccination status and maintain social distancing. use of sanitizer is recommended .
