hello g m doctor my son Tejas age 8 year weight 28 kg ishaving fever since last night .fever and body pain no other symptoms .pls suggest should I take him for RTPCR or just give him PCM

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can aflso do cofld sponging of the body if required
