Q.

hi my baby underwent open heart surgery 2 weeks back now he is fine and active after removal of sutures when will be the baby can have full bath....any extra precautions need to be taken please suggest me

A. Avoid bath for fee week i would say,Look for redness, puffiness, drainage, or open areas on the incision. Keep the incision clean and dry by using a clean shirt or bib. Pay close attention to the area under your baby's chin where food and moisture can collect. If Steri-Strips (small Band-Aids) are used, they should come off 10 days after surgery.
