Q.

hi my baby is 2 months old . she is having diaper rashes ..I am using mummy poko pants ..some times I used home oil and there was decrease in rashes..now she is having again.plz advise should I change her diapers or take her to specialist .

A. for perianal/perigenital / diaper rash if it is less then you can go for simple coconut oil as well as any rash cream which is available for diaper rash like (rashfree / ezinapi / b4napi / zincal) but if it is not improving then at night time you can add t bact cream in the perianal area which will help in decreasing the rash. to prevent the diaper rash in the future kindly apply coconut oil before making the child wear the diaper there is no problem in making the child wear diaper throughout the day but the important thing would be that it should not cause skin allergy as well as you have to change it frequently before urine accumulation causes perianal rash. that means diaper has to be changed according to the urinary frequency of the child you can apply coconut oil before making the child wear diaper which will help in decreasing the chances of rash . d
