Q.

Hi, my baby is 12 days old today. since yesterday she is waking up every 5 to 6 hrs for the feed. despite many attempts, unable to wake her as she goes back to sleep the moment I start feeding. Is this normal or what shall I do!!

A. may be some discomfort as Gas related problem is very common in small babies because of many factor including immaturity of the gut . other factors include cow's milk introduction before 1 year of age , bottle feeding, not giving proper burping after each feed. Digestive enzymes like aglozyme drops can be given as suggested by doctor in proper dose for reliving of such symptoms .

A. hi dear mom..try dream feeding..baby should be fed every two hours. babys should be exclusively breast fed till six months. Gently wake up the child and feed her. if needed please consult with your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment
