hi my baby boy is 1 yr 4 months old, every month he is having running nose and throat infection due to one or other cause either viral or bacterial and subsequently he has severe cough later for few days. recently I heard about sitopaladi churna but somewhere i read that it cannot be given to less than 2 years. is it safe to give to kids if yes what is the dosage ?

Author of questionFather of 2 children2 years agoA. yes sir thank you for your immediate response. i follow all vaccine protocols even flu shots every year. but due to season change or any viral he is suffering heavy secondary infection post viral. is it really good to give this ayurvedic churna in a long run to kids , does it really help ? is there any side effects of it for kids? what would be dosage according to you. please guide

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. is safe can give regular cough and cold in children are most commonly associated with allergy which might be due to weather changes on temperature variations. many times simple cough and cold is followed by secondary infections. it is very common that children will have a recurrent cough and cold as well as fever before 5 years of age and after that a proper immunity is developed and then this problem will go away. get the child vaccinated for flu vaccine which will again help in decreasing this problem
