Q.

Hi mam I'm 21 weeks pregnant in my NT scan my placenta position is low lying placenta for that I have taken complete bed rest and medication also nd i have done tiffa scan 2 days before in that my placenta is anterior and grade 1 maturity nd the lower end of the placenta is 5cm away from the internal os. . . should I take bed rest or can I do walking slowly

A. Most of the times the placenta will move upwards and looks like a new case that has happened and if the placenta is more than 3 cm away from the cervical opening then you need not worry. There is no need to take strict bed rest but at the same time don’t overwork yourself. If you have any bleeding episodes consult your doctor immediately.But make sure that the report is accurate and the placental position is correct by talking to your doctorWrite Your Answer Here
