Hi mam I'm 21 weeks pregnant in my NT scan my placenta position is low lying placenta for that I have taken complete bed rest and medication also nd i have done tiffa scan 2 days before in that my placenta is anterior and grade 1 maturity nd the lower end of the placenta is 5cm away from the internal os. . . should I take bed rest or can I do walking slowly

A. Most of the times the placenta will move upwards and looks like a new case that has happened and if the placenta is more than 3 cm away from the cervical opening then you need not worry. There is no need to take strict bed rest but at the same time don’t overwork yourself.
