Q.

hi, I'm neelima currently in 21st week of pregnancy.. my nt scan and dual marker test are clear and no down syndrome. but in TIffa scan yesterday there are 2 soft markers noted. 1.intracardiac echogenic focus 2. mild bilateral pelviectasis doctor recommended nipt test. is it very serious that I get chromosomal abnormalities

A. both the things you have mentioned are not much serious to be concerned about Mostly in maximum cases it gets reduced as the baby grows you just need to have regular follow up about this with your doctor and have proper treatment if needful

A. thank you so much doc. iam very Worried about the nipt result it takes 7 days to get the result. if I get positive in nipt what I need to do next

A. hello since you are expecting mom better to check with your doctor and this would require a proper medical attention and it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
