Hi, I’m 16weeks pregnant. With the suggestion of doctor I have went through NIPT test where the test resulted as chromosome 18 as high risk. What will be the next step? I’m so scared. Any suggestions please

preetMom of a 3 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. nipt is a screening test. u have to meet a fetal medicine specialist and get done ur amniocentesis followed by karyotype. if ur diagnosis is confirmed u will be offered option for termination. trisomy 18 is associated with multiple birth defects and is usually incompatible with life.
