Q.

hi. I delivered a baby girl on 21st May 2021 by normal delivery and am completely on breast feeding. I had post partum period and the bleeding continued for around 25 days. later it stopped and there was just a light spotting at times. but from 34th day onwards bleeding again started and is still continuing .. this is 5th day and the bleeding is continuing heavily . this time bleeding is heavy and symptoms are similar like that of regular period.. I heard that periods will be irregular when on breast feeding. is this my regular period or post partum period.. please suggest.. for how many days now bleeding will last . when should I be concerned. please help

A. see its your menses and may be irregular too ok.Try to cut on stress and un due tension. Eat more of fruits and vegetables and lots of fluids too dailySee you can show to a gynac and get the right opinion as it needs examination and check up in person.

A. Hello dear parent! Irregularities in periods is very common after delivery as they depend on hormonal changes. Would advice you to consult your doctor for a personal evaluation and seek further advice. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all day while breastfeeding your baby.
