hi gd mngg sir I'm mother of 4month old baby in my pregnancy Doppler scanning test result show brain sparing it can affect in future of my baby all milestones are normal.......should I consult a pediatrician????

A. In humans, this fetal adaptive mechanism, the “brain-sparing effect,” can be demonstrated with Doppler ultrasound. ... The term “brain-sparing” refers to relative protection of the brain as compared with other organs during fetal development, but this does not guarantee normal development after birth.Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) is most commonly caused by placental insufficiency, in response to which the fetus adapts its circulation to preserve oxygen and nutrient supply to the brain ('brain-sparing').
